I often hear that reminds me of something when people look at my photographs. As in years past, I spent the majority of 2021 photographing nature. In the woods, along the river’s edge, or by the ocean, I revisited past themes that inspired me creatively. The similarity between these images and previous ones comes as no surprise to me. I find this repetition in composition meditative. Reflecting on connected images stretching back through my years as a photographer reminds me of just how beautiful and mysterious life can be.

That Reminds Me of Something is a hand-bound, hardcover photography book comprised of 23 color photographs taken in 2021. The book is printed on an inkjet printer with matte rag paper. It is covered in book cloth and Indian marbled paper. The book’s inventive adhesive only construction uses a drum leaf binding and breakaway spine. These allow for the book to lay flat, without any sewing.
